I always love getting to explore and photograph new venues, and this gorgeous summer day at the Gadsden House in Charleston, South Carolina simply made my heart swoon. Between the beautiful original wood floors, the big bright windows and elegant chandeliers, the stunning fireplaces throughout, and the spacious porches and courtyard, the Gadsden House is the perfect venue for any elegant southern wedding or event. With dusty blue and warm orange tones woven throughout the details and floral elements, this summer Gadsden House wedding exudes a perfect balance of elegant and joyful.

The details in the invitation suite were so intentionally designed to give the guests a peek into the wedding day from the moment they opened their envelopes: beginning with the map of Charleston lining the envelope, a beautiful custom monogram crest for the couple, and sketch of the venue to immediately begin telling the couple’s story. Other unique elements like dusty blue macarons and blackberry tarts for dessert brought a special touch, thinking outside the box of serving just cake.
